This is the second, updated and extended edition of a hugely popular
guide to Ahmedabad.

The city's architecture ranges from the ancient to the very modem, from
the Mughals to the last works of the contemporary Indian architects, as
well as Le Corbusier and L. Kahn buildings. It is one of the capitals of
Modern design with a prominent university campus, and the Mahatma
Gandhis Sabarmati Ashram.

This insightful guide offers six itineraries and specifies 140 buildings and
other places to visit, and also includes an index of architects and practical
tips for getting around the city. The India & Southeast Asia Architectural
Travel Guides Collection introduces ancient, modern, and contemporary
heritage and architects in a useful pocket guide format. All projects are
presented with maps, photographs, plans, and a descriptive text.

What’s new:
• A new itinerary 'East-West', giving the visitor an experience of a 'cross
section' of the city's architectural history.
• All updated itineraries include new buildings (from architects A.
Kanvinde, Atmaram Gajjar, CCCBA- Christopher Charles Benninger
Architects and RMA- Rahul Mehrotra Architects) and metro stops
• The latest metro map, facts and practical tips
• Updated introduction
