Mark Dudek runs a London-based design practice and is a consultant for education buildings, both in the UK and elsewhere. He has been involved in the design of numerous educational environments for some 25 years. Amongst his projects were four Children's Centres in the London Borough of Hillingdon, the Classroom of the Future at Yewlands Secondary School in Sheffield, an Ecolab at Stanley Infant and Nursery School in London and the ecological garden area Discovering Kids Playgroup in Magherafelt, Co. Derry in Northern Ireland (with Clare Devlin) as well as two prototype schools for Khorog, Tajikistan. Mark Dudek's publications include Architecture of Schools, Architectural Press, 2001, and Kindergarten Architecture, Spon, 2000. He has spoken at numerous conferences in the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and the USA and advises the UK Government's design association CABE. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Research Fellow at the School of Architecture, University of Sheffield.
